Why do we offer Group Memberships?
AESP has always been an individual member organization. The AESP Board added the Group Membership option in 2004 to allow companies to purchase individual memberships at a "bulk rate" to share with staff and allies. Companies use them to promote the professional development and training opportunities within AESP.
Who can be an AESP Group Member?
Any company, including private, public and cooperatively owned utilities, industry allies, vendors, government organizations, and even other international, national, regional and statewide associations.
What are the advantages of a Group Membership as compared to individual memberships?
The primary advantage is the ability to purchase individual memberships and group registrations at "bulk prices." A secondary advantage is ability to align the membership renewal dates of everyone within an organization.
What happens to the remaining months of those who are already individual members when your group becomes a Group Member?
AESP will credit your company for a pro-rated dollar amount of outstanding balances. The credit will be deducted from your group membership dollar amount due.
Do AESP Group Members have voting privileges?
All active AESP members may vote for the Board of Directors and constitutional changes.
How do we become an AESP Group Member?
Contact Suzanne Jones (firstname.lastname@example.org) to discuss your organization's needs, number of staff members in the group and suitable level of membership. Let us know who will be the lead contact designated to allocate your points. You will receive an invoice by return email with your credit for outstanding membership months, as appropriate. Each of your designated individual members will receive a separate email welcoming them to the organization and detailing the benefits of membership.
