Moderator: Ryan Wilson, Energy Solutions

Mission-driven energy professional with hands-on experience in developing product strategy, forecasting and strategic growth planning, and delivering winning proposals. For the past three years, Mr. Wilson has been a key member of Energy Solutions’ Products & Strategy group. Previously, he received a Master of Environmental Science and Management from UC Santa Barbara, focusing on Energy and the Environment and eco-entrepreneurship. There, he co-founded a start-up addressing inefficiencies in the biofuel and agriculture sectors, which won first place in the Barrett Challenge in 2014. He graduated with B.S. in Molecular Environmental Biology from UC Berkeley.

Speaker: Chris Burmester, PhD. Vice President, Energy Solutions

Dr. Burmester leads product and business strategy at Energy Solutions, overseeing new product development and leading long-term strategic planning to strategically grow the company and serve the evolving needs of the industry. At Energy Solutions, Chris has been involved in the development and delivery of several notable programs, including the Business and Consumer Electronic program, the California Solar Thermal program, the California Solar Initiative program, PG&E’s Automated Demand Response program, the California Self Generation Incentive program, and the California Upstream Distributor Rebate program. He combines decades of energy and software industry experience in his role, having previously served as CTO for multiple dot-com startups in the areas of automated manufacturing, data mining, and web services. Dr. Burmester earned his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
