This course is especially valuable for those who are new to the industry but also suitable for those who seek a holistic view of DSM.

This course gives you a comprehensive and updated understanding of the landscape of energy efficiency, conservation and demand-side management including types of programs, and the economics, planning, design, implementation and evaluation of programs. Because competition, technology, policy, and DERs are driving rapid change, this course is valuable not only for providing a complete overview of DSM, but also as a refresher on the current state of the industry – with discussion on current technologies, challenges in evaluation, new business models and more.

The workshop modules include:

  • DSM industry update
  • Program Planning/Design
  • DSM Economics
  • Program Implementation & Management
  • Program Monitoring & Evaluation
