Three scholarships are available for AESP’s Summer Conference: Technology… the Great Game Changer in Chicago, Illinois, August 16-18, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. The scholarships INCLUDE registration for the conference, a pre-conference training course of your choice and if you’re not a member, we include a one year membership (total value $1340). PLUS a conference ambassador so you can learn, network, and fully experience AESP’s Summer Conference. The Summer Conference scholarships are a valuable window of opportunity to explore the energy efficiency industry. Qualifications for the New Professional Scholarship are:
•1-5 years of Energy Efficiency, Demand Response, and/or Smart Grid experience.
•Must be working full time in any of the following energy-related areas: electric or natural gas utilities, co-ops/munis, regulatory or non-profit entities, public benefit groups, vendors, manufacturers, or consulting firms.
•Have approval for travel to attend the conference. Note: travel and lodging costs are NOT included in this scholarship.
•Scholarship recipients will be required to submit feedback to AESP on what was learned at the conference and how they benefitted from it. As a requisite of the scholarship, recipients are obliged to attend the New Professionals and New Member event prior to the conference and may be asked to participate in a post conference video interview. Understanding the Electric Utility Industry Today … and the Business Challenges of Tomorrow
This pre-conference course provides an essential overview of the fundamental structure and components comprising today’s Electric Utility Industry and Business. Designed for new and recent energy-service professionals who are working in, and with, electric utilities, participants will gain insight on how to enhance and expand quality energy services. A solid knowledge base in the workings of the industry and the transformational developments on the horizon are vital to building ongoing engagement with, and greater value for, the utility’s customers.
How to Build, Implement, and Evaluate a Customer Engagement Program
In this course, experts in energy efficiency marketing and evaluation will present a set of guidelines and best practices, accompanied by applied exercises, that will step course participants through the planning/design, implementation, and evaluation requirements for a modern, integrated, and efficient customer engagement platform for demand side management (DSM) (energy efficiency, demand response, renewables) programs.
